How About $10?

I find that buying a candy is somehow not that easy. Stealing it from a little boy is even less of a headache. The boy has it in his hands. It's there. Not much thinking except whether I could safely grab it from the child's hand and flee away. In a candy bar, however, there're millions to choose from and that's only for the chocolate bars. How about jelly beans, M&Ms, lollipops and gummy candy? But the kid, however, had only one in his hands which I think it was a yellow packet of M&Ms and I don't have to go through the stress of choosing one in a candy store.

Bloody moral senses.

I have limits to spend. What can you get for, say $5?

I like chocolate, but I think I'm a vanilla boy. At McDonald's I often ordered the Strawberry Sundae or just a simple vanilla ice cream cone. I prefer Honey & Fig than Triple Chocolate at Lindale. Except on certain cases I'd go for chocolate milk shake rather than vanilla milk shake at Coffee & Tea.

I hope I'm not a vanilla kind of guy though - as in ordinary and boring.

Anyway, with $5 in hand, I'd love to buy something different. Something I haven't had for a very long time or never at all. Nothing chocolatey. Maybe, except if there's almond in it, or any kind of crunchy nuts. Although, it's been so long since I had anything chewy like those yummy gummy dinosaurs. That advert on TV cracks me up all the time, "Don't chop the dinosaurs daddy~,". Oh, but that small box of Lindt chocolate pistachio seems ridiculously tempting. Some sentimental memory there too. Ah, Willy Wonka Nerds!

I bought a Kinder Bueno.

I had this last week, and the week before and so much more for the past few months. I like it. I'll get that Cadbury Desserts next week. The best way to enjoy this? Brought it home and make myself a nice cup of hot coffee. Set myself sitting comfortably on my bed covered in my blanket. A laptop on my lap and my awesome set of coffee and chocolate by my side table.

I would prefer a couch in front of the TV (which I don't have, the couch I mean) or on the bench by the romantic Wellington waterfront or just having Marisa Miller in bikini feeding me with her luscious fingers covered in warm chocolate sauce.

Pause for fantasy moment.

Schmeh~ This works too.

"When orange is not just a colour"

Keep Things Simple!

Occam's Razor is a principle that states that the explanation of any phenomenon should make as few assumptions as possible, eliminating those that make no difference in the observable predictions of the explanatory hypothesis or theory.

The principle is often expressed in Latin as the lex parsimoniae (law of parsimony); "entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem", roughly translated as "entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity".
Source: Wikipedia

Many times throughout our daily lives, we often tripped ourselves and drown into the depth of our own mind. We justify things to make ourselves feel better. Lying to ourselves finding reasons to convince ourselves that it is ok to take a bite of that cake, mistakenly delivered to your house.

Somebody had worked hard to make such a beautiful cake for someone and if you don't eat it, it will go to waste or your diabetic neighbour, who suppose to receive it and he's away for the weekend, would eat it and its not good for his health or your housemate is on a diet and you think you can be helpful by clearing it off the table before he sees it and can start drooling all over it.

The cake is not yours.

Maybe I should change to another better example? This metaphor sucks. Sigh.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to get to is, should you just leave the cake because its not yours
, or just eat it because no one will and no one gets hurt (as far as you concern) and the best of all no one else knows except you and the cake, which is delicious and its all worth every bite whilst thinking that you're actually helping someone, or better off, making the world a better place.

Until your guilt conscious kicks in.

It's wrong, and we knew it right from the start. Yet we tried so hard finding reasons to convince ourselves that it may be right.

As Einstein once quoted, "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler,".

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck - dude, it's a duck.

Damnit.

111/12 Martin Square

I just realized. Jimi and I both of us don't own a camera. So the previous plan to post some photos of the new casa might have to wait for the time being. A description maybe?

Martin Square is a contemporary, chic and convenient 82 units residential development right in the heart of Wellington Central. Spread over about an acre of land right off Taranaki Street behind the Shell petrol station, the soaring 6-floors students studio apartment is just about 7 minutes walk away from the vibrant Courtenay Place, the Warehouse, university, Cuba Street, Briscoes, Yean's Asian Supermarket and basically its near to everything that is good for an early 20s male Malaysian student studying abroad.

With built-up area of approximately 300 sqf, the twin-sharing unit is fully furnished with kitchenwares, wardrobes with shelves, study desks, noticeboard, heaters and a cute little bathroom. It's quite cold during winter and its super thin polyester carpet flooring doesn't help either. It can hold from 4 to 100 people (which can be a record!) at one time depends on comfortability and Room 111 is always open for visit with coffee is served prior bookings via e-mail, small pebbles to the glass window, instant messaging or dial 04 385 7109. Cookies are available subject to season availability.

Anyway, Lavender?

"Laundry, (lôn dre, län-) n. 1. The clothes or linen to be laundered or that have been laundered"

I don't do laundry that often. It depends more on the mood really. Sometimes once a week, a fortnight or even up to a couple of months. Well, it's quite difficult to get caught as a smelly dud or tempe basi in this cold weather due to the wonderful low temperature, dry air and less personal body moisture production. Thus, the needs for frequent laundering drops down fantastically and here arises the lazy stinkin' boy.

Anyway.

Last night, .. was laundry night.

Since I moved into Martin Square last Sunday, I've been sleeping on a bare bed. Well, my bedding set; pillow cases, duvet cover, etc, has been stocked up in the box for the last 6 months so you figure it out how it is. Oh yeah, with all my other clothes too. I have been cycling the same 3-4 outfits for the past weeks. Sigh.

Anyway.

One washing machine in 243, another in 222 and the last pot in 244. The whole Terrace is my laundry shop, not literally. If you're not that well aware of the geography for Wellington Central, each of this machines are at least 150 metres away from each other. Not like it's on different continents but hey, how often do you run your laundry on different machines this far away at the same time? And it's frickin' cold too running around outside.

Yeah I know it's not exactly that Indiana Jones adventurous.

Anyway.

Don't you just love the smell of fresh lavender on your freshly lavendered pillow cases, freshly tucked into your not so fresh bare pillows?

I had a really good night sleep. :)

How's Life Matey?

People often come to you and ask, "How's life matey?" (or most probably just "Ko ape cer weh?"). As our thoughts are gathering and no matter how lottery-winning good or even life-throbbing bad your life currently is thus often, too, we answer, "Life's good," and that's all that there actually is. It's kind of more like the ritual of "hi" and "hello" you wave back and that's it you've done your social obligation.

Or maybe it's just me is like that. Heh.

Anyway, here, I'd like to elaborate more and give you my ultimate answer for such question.

Since I left Malaysia on the 22th of June, I've spent my holiday with Chap in Melbourne for almost a week. Sarah, Tompok and Aida were also so kindly to offer their company and I have really enjoyed my stay there with the fellow casts of "Tapau", apparently. I haven't been to many cities around the globe but I'd have to say that Melbourne can definitely be among the top of my favourite cities in the world. Or most probably it's just because of the awesome people I'm with there. Either way, it's your turn to come down here to Wellington dude.

My first week in this capital city of New Zealand on this year was fun too. Bersatu Games, Kerel got his Wii, Ainee's birthday, Cranium and good times with good ol' friends I've been missing for so long. Now, I've moved into a twin bed studio sharing it with my new roommate Jimi. As you can see I've put a link on his name there for you to check him out, well for no specific reason apparently heh. A medic student just came from IMU earlier this year. Good looking but unfortunately, ladies, he is taken. I will however elaborate more as soon I got hold a photo of him and a few of this studio I currently live in.

This has become more like a diary, apparently, or it has been like that anyway. Oh well, I am in the mood so here it is. Soon to come, Room 111, 12 Martin Square. :D

A Cleaner Slate?

Perhaps.

111/12, Martin Square, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, New Zealand will be the new headquarter. A new partner which soon to be revealed. A new set of desk but with the same computer and other stationaries. A new bed but with the same pillows, spreadsheet and comforter. A new TV but with the same ol' channels. A new breath of fresh air?

Please kindly welcome me back to Wellington, New Zealand and the warmest hello to you dear readers. :D

Coming Away Home

Well, this will be my last post (maybe) before I'm flying off to Melbourne this Sunday before going back to Wellington on the 28th. To those who haven't seen me for a long time, just in case as you might be having trouble recognizing me just because I have been working out a lot and all, this is my latest updated photo.

Ahh, I can hear the girls are screaming all so wildly. This goes well with the content warning eh?

Well anyway, goodbye and farewell Malaysia and hello New Zealand. Life goes on and I just keep wishing I'm getting better at it.
