Bread and Fish

When the vocals are perfect in harmony, the percussion is right on the beat and the instruments are, in fact, instrumental - you know you can feel the music direct to your heart as your finger starts tapping while your feet seems unrest on the carpet. Some would just lost in their dreams enjoying the creation of melody in their own fantasy and some would straight on stand up and joget in pleasure of celebrating the wonder of music.

Metaphorically.

Yet owh I would most probably be the one who enjoy the music silently, perhaps, preferably at least.

"It felt so right,"

The timing can never be better. The flow of the conversation was perfect; the moment of silence is just as good as those sweet words she and I recited in casual poetry. The fragrance of fresh green grass with blossoming jasmine and lilacs. The warm romantic lightings at the heart of the cool evening city under the full, (Well, nearly full la but you know when you're in this kind of situation everything is perfect heh) lunar experience. It was the music that has been missing for so long. It was often found in dreams, during lonely quiet moments on the bench by the local lakeside, during empty silence in the toilet; berak or whatsover, in the library while you're mendagu looking outside through the large windows.

The reality is now, finally, better than your dreams, and thus, the finger starts tapping.

It's just a beautifully written and performed song. Not long yet a meaningful symphony. It can be like those 2 hours long live jazz session on Wednesdays at Sandwiches I enjoy once a week or month. Good music is cool but I don't want to find a song to keep for life. Love is love and music is music. Well, metaphor is, in fact, metaphor. Yet, I find that to fabricate love with bread or fish is almost never relevant to the story as such strength of Romeo and Juliet we most often wish to be.

"Selling a gun for the first time is a lot like having sex for the first time,"
-Yuri Orlov in the movie Lord of War-

Well, that's different.

Love is a lot like a box of chocolate. Perhaps. You never know what you're gonna get. I, for one, is full of it. Chocolate I mean. A box of them to offer and yet, unopened for so long I fear it'll melt and sticky and blerh not that nice to eat.

Or.

Love is like the ocean. There're too many of them around but you have yet fish your own sexy wearing-only-clams-as-clothings mermaid. Well, perhaps you've lost your paddle for the sampan boat and everyone else nowadays is using the new Yamaha FX SHO Waverunner. You know how chicks dig cool rides kan?

Owh well, at least you got your sampan already. I'm still saving money for the bread. If you're not properly packed up you might get really hungry in the middle of the ocean.

I'm still trying to figure out what u're trying to say.
But i got the jeez of it, "Love is like a box of chocs, Love is like the ocean, Njb is fishing for sexy clam-wearing mermaids, and he's saving some $ for bread.
Hence, Njb found something interesting (or less dull than his usual life) thing going on"

"Uish..ni la kot time Uncle Njb mula tunjuk jiwang kat blog die..kuikuikui", kata anakku si Rogayah.

=) lol.

its about metaphor hunny. love is love and ur fav cookie is just a fav cookie.

"cooking fish is like eating a cookie. u need to go to the store to get the fish or the cookie,"

well, something like that or it just that i'm simply crapping around.

uhuh

perhaps. maybe i just like to write that way. i guess thats why i like that movie "the big fish". probably its not a relevant example for this matter but yeah unfortunately i dont read novels or any high level literature that i often find in my writings that there's still long way to go to reach that level at least of both of u ladies commenting here.

metaphors are cool. we open up our imagination and create readers variation in intepretation ergo generates casual brain exercise. my brain lembik. need to keep fit. heh.
