A Cleaner Slate?

Perhaps.

A new bed but with the same pillows, spreadsheet and comforter. A new TV but with the same ol' channels. A new breath of fresh air?

Please kindly welcome me back to Wellington, New Zealand and the warmest hello to you dear readers. :D

Coming Away Home

Well, this will be my last post (maybe) before I'm flying off to Melbourne this Sunday before going back to Wellington on the 28th. To those who haven't seen me for a long time, just in case as you might be having trouble recognizing me just because I have been working out a lot and all, this is my latest updated photo.

Ahh, I can hear the girls are screaming all so wildly. This goes well with the content warning eh?

Well anyway, goodbye and farewell Malaysia and hello New Zealand. Life goes on and I just keep wishing I'm getting better at it.

Best Place to Live

Wellington is ranked at no.12 among the best places to live in the world by Mercer Consulting.

Click here to read the whole article.

Ahh, come to think about it, I might want to elaborate more about this. What kind of place I would like to live in? How about you? What do you like to have around your city? Better shopping complex? More green landscape? Cleaner air to breathe?

To be continued.

Envy

Call me ungrateful but I can never stop myself from being envious of others.

"I'm happy for you!"

It is difficult for me to recite that phrase with sincerity to anyone unless I have no care at all towards the object that is making that particular subject very happy. I wonder whether I am actually a bad person. I hope I never did anything in particular dengki-ish stuffs to anyone. Did I? Ahh, does public apology works? If so, to whom it may concern, I apologize for all the wrongdoings I have done in the past which I solely believe it was unintentional.

But that's not the case here.

"Oh jelesnye budak tu rajin siot,"

"Ah cibey gempaknye die,"

Or anything as such.

I often used 'envy' as my motivation to be better in anything. Envy was such a powerful drive to push me into being a competitive person. It was an exciting era and my self-esteem was top notch back then.

Today, its a different case.

Envy is no more a fuel for me. It's just a simple feeling of discontent of seeing something that is possessed by someone other. My fuel for motivation seems to change into something I have yet to figure it out. I found this new insecurity in having this needs to achieve something in life. Sadly, this insecurity is still not a strong element to drive me forward, instead occasionally haunts me in early morning, lonely evening or at late night.

I just want to be better. Is that good enough?

I, perhaps, just growing up. A little late though.

Top 10 Word or Phrase I Think I Use Excessively
and plan to reduce usage

1. Cibey ah!
2. ... doh
3. F**k
4. Oh bloody hell
5. Bole tahan ah
6. ... I think
7. ... kot
8. ... either way ...
9. amboih
10. 'tat!

I think that's about it. Although there's no specific reason for me doing this. Maybe I just thought that I just need to put something here. Oh by the way, if you think I miss anything, drop a comment. I am interested to learn stuffs I blurt out unconsciously. We all do that aren't we? Or is it just me? Again? Blerhhh

Oh yea I should've included "blerhhh" in the list above.

Note Taking

I always find writing is a good way to remember things by. Although, typing is questionably the same but heck I need to write something down so that I can read it again in the future. Might be useful for some of you too, I think?

I'm in my office by the way. First time blogging during work hours ehehehehe.

Market Study
Purpose-built Office in Klang Valley

The distribution of office space in per square feet ratio currently dated October 2007 accounts up to 36% for Golden Triangle area, Central Business District at 29% and other areas accumulate up to 35%. The Golden Triangle area is significantly preferred as a premiere office address as currently there are 11 and 7 office buildings under development in the Golden Triangle area and the Central Business District respectively. Although, there is a considerable growth of demands for the other areas around Klang Valley as 23 office buildings have been proposed to supply the office market within the vicinity.

Currently there are about 76 purpose-built office buildings surrounding the area of Damansara, Bangsar, TTDI, Kelana Jaya, Tropicana, Sunway and Subang Jaya/UEP and at least 16 purpose-built office buildings are currently under development within this areas. Damansara, Subang Jaya/UEP, Bangsar and Kelana Jaya are among the preferred address arranged accordingly to the number of office spaces provided within the vicinity, Damansara being the most popular choice.

Okey done. That's all I wanted to put in at the moment.

Thank you if managed to read through. :D

Helo.

I'm going back to New Zealand in a month time. So for my visa application I have to present a couple of recent passport photos of mine. I'm not sure why am I sharing this with you but I suppose somebody out there must have been wondering how fat is fat or how cute is this guy really is. So yeah this is my latest photo taken on 21st May 2008.

20 pounds gained since January 2008 (Yeah go find that converter ehehehe). Still a stud I always have been.

Commitmentphobia

Man, commitment is hard.

Recently I find myself some other stuffs to occupy my leisure times. I picked up the whole 10 seasons of Friends from my sister which I believe I have khatam for more than 4 times already before. Well, another round wouldn't hurt. I got myself a new set of guitar strings, a capo and some picks. I also bought a few comics and magazines. Not that these are the better things to do than writing here (or perhaps so) but I seem to be occupied with them lately.

Anyway, I love writing here. Yet, seeing the gap of entries for more than 7 days seem to show a bit weakness of my commitment to this. Of course its my freedom to do whatever that I want but damnit it is annoying to see such inconsistency. I need some new different ideas to write about.

...

Owh well, later guys.

Last 100m

How to entertain everyone?

The price of steel is going up along with fuel and cement seem to be unstable and unpredictable. Extraordinary creativity in building design is essential to provide sufficient and effective residential space with minimal construction cost. Furthermore, issues arose on traffic systems, car parks inadequate, increase of minimum interior space required to provide, density issue and perhaps some would understand that local authorities want to preserve and control the developments arising within their vicinity.

Market research.

When developing a whole 10 acres of residential areas accommodating a potential 1500 units of household, where do the kids go to school? When developing a Green Theme office building, how do potential clients need to be convinced that they are saving energy and environment? Of course there are always questions people can keep on asking because as we all know throughout our entire adulthood that it is utterly bloody difficult to entertain everyone.

Oh by the way, if someone could actually tell me anything regarding sustainability buildings or Green Theme stuffs happening in Malaysia, that could be utterly awesome.

I think my workloads in the office is starting to reduce recently. Less administrative and authoritive work and just casual internal research and filing and I have to start handing over all my works to the current executives in the office. About one and a half months left to go and I have got to finalize everything I need to settle before going back to Wellington. What can I gain in this coming last few weeks? I have a few objectives to achieve and I'm certainly glad that I believe my 4 months of serious work in the construction line seem to be an awesome exposure for me to what I can bring into the future.

I had a list of plans of things to do or achieve in this long period of break I'm having. Some of the stuffs are happen to be very difficult to accomplish and perhaps I should give myself a break and tell myself, "Don't worry dude you have done enough for yourself,". I'm starting to understand and digest the concept of aim higher in life. Not that completely but I'm feeling good about it though.

I always wanted to do better in life, in everything. Everyone, or at least many of us have the same desire. One step at a time and if I get better at it, I shall buy myself a scooter to move forward faster.

"We are all meant to shine,"

Booring

Come to think of it, I actually make a very boring working man.

Oh dude you just realized?

I wake up at 7:30am. Off to work at 8:00am then got back home, on average, at 7:00pm. Eat dinner at 8:00pm then online at 9:00pm. Play any dvd available at 10:00pm and doze off at 11:00pm.

I'm almost like a robot. Scheduled. No unpredictability. If I were a target of an assassin, well, I am pretty easy to put simply heh.

Lets simulate a situation. I have a girlfriend.

I wake up at 7:30am. Message her "Good morning hon,". Off to work at 8:00am then got back home, on average, at 7:00pm. Eat dinner at 8:00pm then substitute online with calling her at 9:00pm for "How's your day dear? What did you ate for dinner? Did that bitch annoyed you again today?" until I doze off at 11:00pm, assuming her stories is short and the mushy conversation is minimal.

I really don't know whether that is sufficient or not, to maintain a partner. I hope it is.

Dream on.

Oh yeah weekend would be another thing. Not that different though since Saturday and Sunday are somewhat not that powerful enough to change a boring person of that I am.

How exciting I want to be anyway?

I blog. Enough said. Sigh.

Still ain't cool dude.

Honey I Shrunk the Jeans

Today.

I woke up on a beautiful Saturday morning. Tired and sleepy. Well, doesn't mean its beautiful I should have the energy to enjoy it running around the central park greeting strangers in annoyingly joyful manner. It was indeed beautiful to enjoy the Saturday morning in bed with my knightly red curtains still faithfully protecting me from the ferociously morning sun.

7:30am.

Okey I'm up and prepare myself for work. Who the hell works on Saturdays? Well apparently there are many which you can usually find in 7-Eleven, shopping complex, KFC, etc. Yet, I still find it so irritating to get up on a Saturday where most of our consultants and clients are still comfortably under their blanket dreaming of enjoying how wonderful this Saturday-off really is. Oh well, it's casual Saturdays so I went and grabbed my one and only blue Hallenstein jeans laying neatly on the chair. I put it on as I always do every week- nothing unusual but...

It's almost doesn't fit.

What the? I don't even need a belt anymore.

How come? ... When did?

I'd now rather become that annoying fella running in central park randomly greeting strangers whom none of them ever wave back. At least he is fit. What happened to my long lost six abs? Have I eaten much lately? I workout less this recent days but it was always like that for my whole life anyway. No wonder my Facebook ranking for the best body has been dropping down. Somebody must have noticed that I'm no longer that Brad Pitt they were hoping for.

No.2 in singing?

Are these people from my network have actually listened to me singing or it's just assumption since I do resemble John Mayer in some ways? Why do I even bother anyway? It's just a bloody website which has been flattering me with compliments I will never receive in my usual daily life. Who the bloody hell would come and tell me that I have a body like Brad Pitt or sings like Mr Mayer?

I am now fat, still Brad lookalike and sings like John. Cool.

Irrelevant, I Think

Conceptualize.

I wonder how am I in relations to another human being?

Have I made many enemies?

Well I have heard of the theory that we can never entertain all of them. Everyone, statistically, is bound to have at least one enemy during their lifetime.

So okay I got a few enemies. Even so, did I, instead, manage to treat all my close friends well?

Did I remember to say "Please," for every favor I asked and "Thank you," for each of them was favored?

I often wonder whether am I a good friend, a listener, in giving advice, in lending help, in refuse for other priorities, etc. I am selfish at times but do I pay my fair share of contribution to society in promoting altruism? (I just found out this word when I search thesaurus for "selfless" heh)

I want to be a good friend. Everyone, I believe, would love to be a good friend to their buddies. Why quarrel then? Because each of them is thinking the other person is not being a good friend. How is that possible? By law of mathematics when you add both negative of equal value you should get nothing, ergo, no issue. Unless the difference in values would result a loss or a profit in outcome of the situation. "You lose a friend," or "The relationship got stronger," given that the higher value leads the calculation. If the concept of multiplying is used, both negative or positive should end up of positive values. Meaning good guys will remain among good guys and similar can go for the bad guys as well. The difference in positive and negative regardless of which leads the incident would result in negative outcome anyway.

I'm getting there.

The objective should be two; the positive outcome which is preferred and zero as no issue is always a peaceful way to go. Under the rules of addition, by keeping our values as low as possible, we minimize the risk of loss in outcome thus the infinite target would be zero as peaceful result is the way to go. However, by keeping our values high, dominance would be an issue when your value is higher than the dominant in the calculation resulting a loss. However, naturally, when our value is higher, our dominance increases as well and by right the relationship should be stronger given that the value of the counterpart is much lower.

Oh well, that doesn't sound right isn't?

We go to the rule of multiplication heheh. Positive with positive and negative with negative. It's pretty simple really. Relationship is better off when u're with a person of similar style or value.

Really?

Schmehh~

Pompuan Time

I have a fiction-self which of course comes with a partner I can only enjoy in dreams. Boys will be boys huh?

My first female celebrity crush. Elizabeth Hurley is my idea of absolute beauty. Possibly also for Arabs, Persians and Hindustans among the top of my list. Ohhh~

There was one period during my middle high school days I fell for this lovely Rachel Leigh Cook, especially (or possibly only) in She's All That. Still think she is cute though.

During earlier childhood times I always have admired Betty instead of Veronica (possibly the same for others heh). Although I do think I'd love to spoil thy precious Ronnie and hard-to-get Midge sometimes came into mind but the sporty and kind and positive and ever so cheerful is such a character to be adored and loved so dearly.

Today, Tina Fey baby. Smart, beautiful, funny and everything sugar and spice. Well, I guess we never know whether she actually farts shit stink or shave her beard and hairy back everyday or any gross stuffs you can imagine that could spoil your food appetite for the rest of your marital years.

I could have make a longer list, but Googling over the internet for pretty ladies seems rather too sad for me. Anyway, ever listened to Dave Matthews' Dreamgirl?

I have it played in my head everyday.

Fiction Me

I often see myself in fictional characters I read in comics, watched in television or just in magazines today. Seeing, as in, either I think I am actually similar to them or just wishing to be like them.

Jughead, or possibly with a hint of Archie to come with it.

Chandler and most of the time I do think I'm more of Ross. Either way.

Donatello - my favourite turtle. Second comes Michelangelo.

Man, I always thought and still think that this dude is super awesome. Probably because of that glorious super cool body shoulder armor, with that dagger too that can kill aliens and play music? I know it's originated from the Green Ranger but is it the same dagger?

Well, at the end, I'd think that I would just end up just like this fella below anyway;

I am unique as I wish and to me alone I am a fictional creation of these characters.

Ticking Bomb

Some say, "Its not that bad. You should be grateful with what you already have,".

Damnit.

I would have settle for a lot less for this shit to end!

Bread and Fish

When the vocals are perfect in harmony, the percussion is right on the beat and the instruments are, in fact, instrumental - you know you can feel the music direct to your heart as your finger starts tapping while your feet seems unrest on the carpet. Some would just lost in their dreams enjoying the creation of melody in their own fantasy and some would straight on stand up and joget in pleasure of celebrating the wonder of music.

Metaphorically.

Yet owh I would most probably be the one who enjoy the music silently, perhaps, preferably at least.

"It felt so right,"

The timing can never be better. The flow of the conversation was perfect; the moment of silence is just as good as those sweet words she and I recited in casual poetry. The fragrance of fresh green grass with blossoming jasmine and lilacs. The warm romantic lightings at the heart of the cool evening city under the full, (Well, nearly full la but you know when you're in this kind of situation everything is perfect heh) lunar experience. It was the music that has been missing for so long. It was often found in dreams, during lonely quiet moments on the bench by the local lakeside, during empty silence in the toilet; berak or whatsover, in the library while you're mendagu looking outside through the large windows.

The reality is now, finally, better than your dreams, and thus, the finger starts tapping.

It's just a beautifully written and performed song. Not long yet a meaningful symphony. It can be like those 2 hours long live jazz session on Wednesdays at Sandwiches I enjoy once a week or month. Good music is cool but I don't want to find a song to keep for life. Love is love and music is music. Well, metaphor is, in fact, metaphor. Yet, I find that to fabricate love with bread or fish is almost never relevant to the story as such strength of Romeo and Juliet we most often wish to be.

"Selling a gun for the first time is a lot like having sex for the first time,"
-Yuri Orlov in the movie Lord of War-

Well, that's different.

Love is a lot like a box of chocolate. Perhaps. You never know what you're gonna get. I, for one, is full of it. Chocolate I mean. A box of them to offer and yet, unopened for so long I fear it'll melt and sticky and blerh not that nice to eat.

Or.

Love is like the ocean. There're too many of them around but you have yet fish your own sexy wearing-only-clams-as-clothings mermaid. Well, perhaps you've lost your paddle for the sampan boat and everyone else nowadays is using the new Yamaha FX SHO Waverunner. You know how chicks dig cool rides kan?

Owh well, at least you got your sampan already. I'm still saving money for the bread. If you're not properly packed up you might get really hungry in the middle of the ocean.

I'm Not Unique

I'm not that very fond of being a stereotype. Yet, my previous entry, as I happen to like to read my own writings over and over, seems somewhat very typical. There are a lot of this topic been written around and I, apparently, have become the stereotype blogger. Well, actually perhaps always has been.

Sigh.

So, stereotype pon stereotype la.

I Love KL and Selangor

Kuala Lumpur is awesome.

Well, I want to include Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya or Damansara in it but it's in Selangor and mentioning both doesn't sound that cool (See title) for a phrase and Klang Valley doesn't sound that commercial.

Anyway, I just read an article regarding how cool is KL from the newly found TimeOut KL magazine April issue and so often that we find so many have wrote about how much they love KL on and on till we go "Yeah all of us like KL too la so what meh?". I think it's about time that it's my turn to be among these "Say it out loud I love KL" group of people and touch about the matter I love so dearly- good food.

It's rather intriguing really that how can we actually easily find this whole range of food from mee goreng mapley, char kuey teow, Ramli burger, chicken rice and many other mouth-watering oily and calorie overloaded local range of cuisines at any time of the day around KL. People have 24-hours convenience store like Starmart, 7-Eleven, strip bar perhaps but here, there's no other better place in this world, selfishly claim, can fuel us up all night than our bottomless but paid teh tarik at kedai mamak near you.

Do we actually eat so much in a day that there're so many places to eat open 24-hours everyday? How does the economy demand and supply work? Does the 24-hours culture exists when the mamak stalls conveniently provide us the place to hangout at any time of the day or the people actually wants to hang out at any time of the day then the mamak owner saw a business opportunity there? I complicate things am I? Anyway, anything can go hot in the market nowadays. Bad singers can also be famous, stupidity can raise publicity, eating disgusting stuffs can top the rating on international television network, etc. What awesomeness created this awesome culture that it is awesome to lepak at Ameer Ali or Kopitiam awesomely all night?

Either way, I'm very happy that I live in, well near, KL that we can easily find place to hangout anywhere in the Klang Valley from Shah Alam, PJ, Damansara, KL and the coolest place of all , Bandar Baru Bangi at any time of the day. Did you know Think Tank Malaysia meets at night at Mamak Stalls in KL to discuss regarding national economy, political, science, etc matters? They say that the brain works to its most optimum level around midnight under humid medium temperature with the influence of the mixture of tea and condensed milk often popularly known as teh tarik and possibly with bread preferably roti canai or equivalent. Awesome.
